Mixed emotions relating to introduction of e-Learning

Education department hopes to improve education at schools with the introduction of the electronic gadgets for pupils.

Many parents have given the introduction of the e-Learning Projects a big thumbs up and also suggested that it must be introduced to most township schools for the benefit of the pupils.

Since the introduction of e-Learning, most schools have eliminated the use of normal textbooks and converted to e-Learning, all the pupils now use tablets as a learning tool for assignments, research and homework.

Deputy Minister of Basic Education Enver Surty threw his weight behind the project and urged pupils and teachers to embrace the resources and take good care of them.

“This is the latest project by the education department to improve the education system of our children, we are hoping for greater results because the pupils now have a great resource that plays a pivotal role in helping them with their education.”

Martha Nhlabathini (45) said this is a great project to be introduced at schools.

“Our children are living in a technologically advanced society and it’s great that at least now they have been provided with what they love and enjoy most to develop and improve their learning.

“This is a great move indeed by the education department,“she said.

Thomas Mangwane said: “I fully support it, at least our children will do their research easy, without the complication of spending money on internet campaigns.

“I hope and wish that they will utilise those technologies for the benefits of their education.”

Grade 12 Pupil, Anna Moloi said: “These gadgets are a great help indeed, they are well equipped with information that comes in handy inside the classrooms and one don’t suffer when using it.
