Know these numbers

Knowing your sector numbers can help you get assistance quickly when in trouble.

The Moroka police say they still have a challenge of residents not knowing which numbers to call when they are in trouble.

For this reason residents are being encouraged to know their sector numbers so they can get a quicker response from their local police.

Communications Officer of Moroka, Constable John Serala said: “We still notice that people still prefer calling 10 111 first and by the time they are put through to us, or to the relevant sector policing cars in their area, it’s sometimes too late or the offenders have already fled the scene.

“We are asking the community to use their sector policing cars and cell phone numbers, so they can get help sooner.”

Jabavu has a total of seven sectors and residents are being encouraged to know which sector they fall under and the numbers they can call so they can get the necessary support in their time of crisis or need.

· Sector One residents who fall under the Chiawelo area can contact 071 675 6541 and 071 675 6542.
