Rotary club's act of kindness

Soweto Rotary Club handed out donations to the Soweto Hospice and Lena Le Lona last Thursday.

The club donated fans and heaters to the hospice and a electricity buffet server, cooking pots and a stove.

Lebogang Maletsoe from the rotary club said that the hospice and Lena Le Lona approached them asking for donations.

“We bought things that we know that they need. Lena Le Lona was broken into during the festive season and they are barely getting by.

“Because they have an afterschool programme for vulnerable children, we thought it will be better to buy them cooking appliances so that the children get to eat,” she said.

Ricky Bopape from Lena Le Lona said that they were happy with the donation.

“We want to thank the rotary for doing their part in changing children’s lives. We are looking forward to working with them,” he said.
