Library Week a sucesss
Residents are encouraged to visit their local library even after library week.
Lydia Nkomo from Orlando Library in Orlando East said that there was a very positive response to Library Week which was held from March 15-22.
“We would like to thank all residents who took part in Library Week by coming to the library to read or to return long overdue books.
We also celebrated 20 years of democracy through reading during this year’s library week,” said Nkomo.
She also said residents should not just come to the library during library week but all through the year.
Orlando library will be having holiday programmes during the upcoming school holidays.
“We encourage parents to come with their children to take part in our holiday programmes. Children are kept occupied during the holidays when they take part in the holiday programmes,” she said.
