Woman hears voice of God
Mapule Mchunu says she was never scared while being trapped under a tree.
While stuck between a fallen tree and her bed, Mapule Mchunu said she was not scared because she heard the voice of God.
She heard a loud bang and thought it was a gun but quickly realised that a tree had fallen on her in the early hours of last Wednesday morning.
“I thought I was dreaming, I kept quiet and just listened to everything that was going on around me,” Mchunu said.
While neighbours struggled to free Mchunu she ‘saw another place’.
“It lasted for about 30 minutes.
“I saw myself walking towards big gates and my child was running after me,”
She knew she was going to get out of the situation alive because she heard a reassuring voice.
“The voice told me not to worry or give-up.
“I saw myself in a coffin but God told me ‘not yet,” Mchunu said.
She became aware of her surroundings once in hospital but still wasn’t sure where she was.
Mchunu was declared fit to return home.
Her only injuries were a swollen face and blue-eye.
“The experience was a lesson.
“I am stronger and more spiritual,” she said.
