Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan) offers scholarships to South African students

Outstanding international students to receive scholarships.

The Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan) is now offering the 2014 MOE Taiwan Scholarship and Huayu (Mandarin) Enrichment Scholarship for students from the Republic of South Africa.

The MOE Taiwan Scholarship is given to outstanding international students who want to undertake postgraduate study or pursue master’s and PhD degree at Taiwan’s universities. The Huayu Scholarship is the scheme given to international students who want to pursue the Mandarin enrichment. The 2014 MOE Taiwan Scholarship covers the university fees up to R13,340 per semester and provides monthly stipend around R5,000 to R6,700. The Huayu (Mandarin) Enrichment Scholarship awards R8,400 of monthly stipend only living cost up to 12 months.
