Three men on house robbery mission

Similar events at robberies prompt CPF to believe that a gang is operating in Eldos.

Two separate incidents of house break-ins with similar conduct is enough to allow CPF that house robberies are done by the same group of people.

A family in Bushkoppies and another in Extension nine who were victims of the robberies reported similar events.

“Both families reported that three black males using a white sedan, either a Corolla or Kia, gained entry into their homes by knocking on the front door,” Victor Olivier said.

Once the occupants open their front door, the suspects point a gun at the person, forcing them to allow them entry.

The two families were tied up by the robbers while the electronics were stolen.

CPF urge residents to keep the doors, gates and burglar gates locked at all times.

“Do not allow children to open the door, do not attempt to be heroes and fight the robbers and make sure you are less of a target,” Olivier said.

He said when people think ‘It won’t happen to me’ it makes them an easy target because they apply less caution.
Olivier says that house robberies can take place at any time of the day.

“Please tell your domestic workers not to open the door and gate for anybody and if you are expecting someone to go to your house during the day, tell your domestic worker,” Olivier said.
