Drainage fixed

Flood problem history as water drainage is fixed.

Something has finally been done to stop flooding at German Street, Bramfischerville.

Councillor of Ward 44, George Lekgetho, said three men were reported to have fixed the water drainage.

Lekgetho said he was first alerted of the problem by a ward committee member who lives in the same block.

“Though the matter was reported to the relevant entity, I am grateful to the residents who made it their job to fix the problem.

He said” People should stop dumping into the water channels because this causes blockage to the pipes.”

Plastic, tins, newspapers and other dumped items were extracted from the drainage pit.
