Endorsing a culture of reading

Education passed on as a gift to township schools.

Bresica House School donated books to Kelokitso Secondary School last Tuesday.

The Zone Nine School is one of the three schools in Meadowlands that received books from the Bryanston-based school.

Malerato Molobi is a part of a new project that is concerned with literacy in schools and says books change lives.

The books are donated because they want to make a difference in the lives of others by children who go to Brescia House School .

Molobi lives in Zone Nine. She said books have the power to change lives.

“It does not matter what background a child is from, books have the power to create a better life.”

She said black youth need to be constantly reminded that education is their ticket to a better life.

Thakhisa Primary School and Kwa-Mahlobo High School are the other beneficiaries of the selfless initiative.

She thanked Serviam committee for collecting the books and delivering them to Soweto.
