Young people making a difference

Entrepreneurs give a platform to people with unlimited talent and potential, allowing them the opportunity to grow.

Simphiwe Maseko, Thato Mogwera and Mxolisi Phere are three entrepreneurs from Orlando East who own a production company called Zenith Productions.

Zenith Productions is a newly established unrestricted recording company specialising in music and film production.

“We give a platform to people with unlimited talent and potential, allowing them the opportunity to grow and develop within the media industry,” said Mxolisi.

The trio says that they are passionate about what they do as music and production are their life.

“We are self taught, we did not go to school for what we do, we had an interest in this industry and we did whatever it took to learn. We initially wanted to be artists ourselves but through the struggles that we uncounted we decided to take our experiences and help those who want to get into the industry,” said Phere.

The three energetic music lovers not only use their platform to establish musicians and film makers but also work within the community by donating clothing to those who are less fortunate.

“The more work that we do the more we realise that there is a great need in our community and it is up to us to make a difference,” said Mxolisi.

Another passion that the young guys have is uplifting young girls within their community.

They are currently working with a local organisation called Girls Empowerment Movement.

“We want girls to realise their potential and to know that they don’t have to sleep their way to the top. Girls have so much power and they sometimes don’t realise this,” said Mxolisi.

The trio says that young people should stop having excuses and should tap into their potential.

“We want to grow as a production company, we want to grow financially, spiritually and mentally,” said Simphiwe.
