Ace gives tips to pupils on drug and alcohol abuse

Nyaope and alcohol abuse can negatively affect a person’s life.

Actor Peter Moruakgomo famously known as Ace for his role at Generations and Obakeng at Scandal recently did a motivational talk about alcohol and drug abuse at Mezodo Technical School, Forte High and Makhoarane Primary School, Dobsonville.

The motivation was part of a campaign ran by the Dobsonville Shopping Centre and Westview Clinic aimed at raising awareness about substance abuse.

Moruakgomo encouraged pupils to always act responsibly without fear of being judged by friends.

He said” I was once a pupil just like you, I thought teachers and parents were being harsh and controlling but no it was for a good cause.

“To have a good listening skill, respect, dignity and confidence made me who I am today.

Interactively, Moruakgomo asked some of the pupils’ questions about abuse to test their knowledge.

“The use of drugs and alcohol contaminates and destroys the body.

He said” Drug addicts and alcohol abusers should consider visiting rehab centres for help before it’s too late.

“Lastly, have people you can trust and people to confide to when you face challenges to help build your life in a good way,” said Moruakgomo.
