Mayhem promised until government acts

Residents of Meadowlands Hostel are not prepared to talk anymore, they want action to be taken for them to stop protesting and vandalism.

The roads have been barricaded on a daily basis since Monday, the busy road is unusable.

There have been several meetings held with government about the conditions at the hall but there have not been any improvements, this according to residents.

“The only thing that will solve this is if the government improves the living conditions here.

“Things are getting out of hand, people are too angry.”

Hostel residents said they do not receive the same treatment as other people in Meadowlands as though they are not human.

The hostel is congested, sewerage and there are no proper functioning toilets and taps.
