The elderly celebrate love

Celebrating Valentine’s Day is not only for couples and young people, the elderly made it known last Friday.

The elderly in Meadowlands gathered at Bapedi Hall to share love and most importantly thank God for life.

Meadowlands Care for the Aged (MCA) elderly were all dressed in red and white outfits, in celebratory mode.

The day was filled with dance and praise.

Social Auxiliary worker, Boitumenlo Ngwetsang said: “Being alive is proof that God loves us.

“Love is not only between couples.

“Love is supposed to be shared amongst people because God is love.”

The importance of loving the self was also emphasised.
