Siphiwe “Malume” Msimango will be celebrating 25 years as a community volunteer on February 25.
For 25 years, Malume has been volunteering at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital’s children’s cancer ward and inviting famous singers and music groups to entertain old people.
Malume said that to celebrate he wants to make a difference in other people’s lives.
“I am inviting the elderly, people with disability to join me at celebrating 25 years as a volunteer. I have invited pastors to join the celebrations and pray for the eradication of hunger in South Africa. Pastors who I have overlooked are welcomed to join in,” he said.
Malume said that the entertainment is a surprise. The celebration will be at the Diepkloof Multipurpose Hall on February 25 at 12pm.
