Police hold awareness campaign

The police held a campaign to educate Grade R pupils about the dangers of crime, drugs and alcohol.

The police held an awareness campaign at Nandi Primary School last Thursday.

The campaign was aimed at the Grade R children.

The police manager for sector three Mpho Ratshisusu said that the campaign is to teach children to abstain from crime at an early age.

“We want to teach children while they are still young about crime, drugs and alcohol. Children must be aware about what’s going on around them and how to avoid when they grow up,” he said.

Ratshisusu said that the campaign was a success.

“I feel that we have reached a generation that is going to grow up to be positive and not commit crime. We have created future leaders,” he said.
