SANCO back to helping community

SANCO makes a comeback.

Chiawelo Ward 12 South African National Civic Organisation (SANCO) which used to hold its weekly meetings at Basani Primary School will soon start operating.

The structure collapsed last year.

The organisation’s chairperson Abram Mowenda said it was high time they came back to assist the community.

“There is no great and right time to come back than now, we have seen our people suffering and going through a lot of social issues with no assistance at all.

“So now we are here, back on action to help them with any issues they need help with.”

The organisation was more famous to assist residents with issues relating to housing matters, family feuds, assistance with personal documentation, fighting illegal sale of properties and providing food to the needy.

“I can confirm that we will commence with our weekly meetings at Basani primary from 4pm till 8pm every Thursday and we want people to continue reporting their problems to us so we can help them.

“The commencement date will be given out soon, but residents are urged to keep on checking with us regarding our services changes, operational times, our mission and aims and how they can freely utilise all the services that we have for them within our organisation.”
