Dinaledi tsa Soweto still shine bright

Giving up is not an option.

Dinaledi tsa Soweto, a traditional dance group based in Zone 10 is still shining bright 10 years after it was formed.

The founder, Zama Vitshima started the traditional group out of his love for dance and community development.

When he started, the group was known as Soweto Shinning Stars but as the years went by, it was changed.

He said running a traditional group is not easy especially when there are no funds.

Vitshima said: “It is very challenging to sustain the production but because of the love I have for dance, I am not giving up.”

One of his successes is getting off the streets and ensuring that they keep busy with constructive things.

Dinaledi tsa Soweto look forward to growth and sustainability.

They perform at any celebration ceremonies such as weddings and concerts.

For more information about the traditional group, Zama may be contacted on 073 906 1804.
