Founder of Ethembeni Drop-in Centre, Gladys Siyothula recently won a car and a R100 000 prize from Clover and Eqstra Flexi Fleet.

The money is for her self-help project under which she does baking, sewing and caring for the children.

Daphne Oliphant from Roodewal also walked away with the identical prize.

At least 36 Clover Mamas participated in the draw but only two managed to win.

Siyothula was nominated to join Clover Mamas through her hard work, which includes making a difference in the community.

Her organisation was founded in 2008.

“I had a reason for initiating this organisation and that was to make a difference by introducing community development programmes under the project.

She said: “I am thankful to Clover for all the help they’ve given thus far.

Siyothula plans to buy chairs, tables and other needed items for the children and the project.
