Last week, two suspects were shot at while attempting to rob a shop during the day.
One suspect was shot and died on the scene while the other one sustained head and upper body injuries.
Moroka police Station communications Officer John Serala said: “The suspects were shot by the shop owner while the suspects were pointing his son with a pistol at the cash till.
“The son was shot on the leg and is being hospitalised for medical treatments.”
Serala said: “All the firearms which were used by the suspects were all discovered and the injured suspect will face the charges of attempted business robbery, attempted murder and possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
“Also a case will be opened for the deceased suspect and the injured suspect will resume his court appearances at the Protea Court as soon as he is discharged.”
