Metrorail geared on revamping its properties

Metrorail improves its services for commuters.

In improving its service to its loyal commuters and making sure that safety is enforced in its trains, Metrorail has introduced daily on board security personnel.-

According to Metrorail’s passenger safety department spokesperson Andrew Bell the security guards on the trains perform different roles.-

“Those people they make sure that all our passengers have valid travelling tickets, make sure that everyone in the trains they follow safety measures like not leaning against doors or standing in open doors.-

“They are also allowed to make arrests when people are misbehaving like smoking and drinking inside coaches and also make sure that no criminal activity happens on the platforms or inside the trains,”-

Bell said passengers must cooperate when approached by security personnel inside the trains or at the platforms.-

“Those people will be carrying name tags with our logo on it and wearing reflecting beeps and if not wearing or having tags then residents must not entertain such people for their own safety at all.”-

Bell said if passengers who are suspecting any fault or misunderstanding regarding these securities are more than welcome to call their nearest police station and report the matter.
