Solar geyser application

Residents have a last chance to register for solar geysers.

Residents of ward 18 (Extension one to seven) who wish to apply for solar geysers, are reminded to apply on January 25 at the council office.

“It is not a must for residents to apply but it is preferable for those who never had geysers before,” Councillor Peter Rafferty said.

Solar geysers reduce the cost of electricity.

The process is a free service rendered by City Power and residents are required to have with them a copy of their ID, an electricity bill and electricity card number.

The geyser has a five year warranty and faulty geysers will be replaced by City Power, Rafferty said.

“The maintenance of geysers will be done by local residents.

“We have people from Extension one and two who are already going for training,” said Rafferty.

Applications will be done from 9am to 1pm.
