'Unity and vision helped our pupils last year'

Phafogang reveal how they achieved 90% pass rate for their 2013 final exams

Phafogang Senior Secondary School’s principal Tuska Matlejoane said the 90% pass rate they achieved for their 2013 matric year end was due to unity and hard work from all parties aligned to the school.

The principal said some organisations came in and helped the pupils, credit must be given to teachers who have worked extra hard to providing quality education to their pupils.

“I have such a great team of teachers here at the school, they work extra hard in making sure that our pupils are taught properly and prepare them for their future after matric.

“My colleagues go the extra mile in seeking out extra resources which aim at improving education and for that I salute them for dedicating their time and lives in developing our children’s education.”

The school’s 2013 matric class achieved 90% pass rate and this year the deputy principal Lawrance Rambau said they will better last year’s results.

“Thanks to our School Governing Body (SGB), parents, all the staff in our office and some of the well-wishers and funders who have participated into the development of our children’s education last year.

“Without their help we wouldn’t have achieved such great results, so we urge them to continue supporting us with anything that they can even this year so we can perform better than last year,” said Rambau.
