The Renounced Junior Primary School and Pep Stores hosted a welcome back to school event that was attended by Lesedi FM presenter Chomane Chomane.
Aimed at giving pupils a warm welcome, both pupils and parents were filled with joy and excitement.
“I heard a day before that Lesedi would be coming to Ebuhleni and that just gave more motivation to want to go,” Zama Sibeko said.
Chairperson of the schools governing body Mfanefuthi Khumalo said that the school would highly appreciate assistance from parents to make the work of teachers easier.
According to him, parental understanding and assistance helps in both the school’s curriculum and the Pep academy.
“Pep aims to enhance education by re-enforcing the basics of education and taking a step further to ensure that children have a solid foundation before they exit their sensitive and critical phase of learning.
“If a child does not receive a solid foundation then it becomes harder for the child to make it later in life, so Pep wants to make this phase as enjoyable and fruitful as possible,” Pep spokesperson, Gertrude Williams said.
On behalf of Lesedi Fm, Chomane Chomane said that as a father he wishes pupils should never forget why they are there.
He advised all pupils be humble and listen to their teachers because success in education opens brighter avenues.
