The Grade Eight class of Thaba Jabula Secondary School were all smiles last Wednesday when they begian their high school career.
The new breed of pupils looked nervous as they were welcomed to the school.
“Welcome to the home of academic success.
“You have made the right choice by choosing this school,” said Kenneth Mphuma, the principal.
He said the pupils shouldn’t feel lost as they are at the right place.
“We do however need you to meet us halfway.
“The teachers and I require you to be punctual and we will take no excuses,” Mphuma said.
The principal said he would like to send a message to the parents and plead with them to support their children with the new journey that they have started.
He said the only way that pupils could make a success of their high school careers was if they not only worked hard but they also worked smart.
Mpuma assured parents that their children were in good hands as Thaba Jabula was one of the best schools in Pimville.
“This class is in very good hands,” the principal said.
