Three men were arrested last Tuesday after being found in possession of a stolen vehicle.
The men, in their early 20s, were arrested in Zone Two while inside a VW polo.
Police said they were doing their usual patrol when they spotted the car.
Constable Sibusiso Chauke said the police searched the car and found nothing.
When they did a vehicle inquiry they found out that the car was stolen in the East Rand in August 2013.
Chauke said the original registration plate of the car had been changed.
The men were arrested and detained at the Meadowlands police station.
The police are busy with further investigations and the suspects will appear at court soon.
