The first day of school, for children and parents, was an emotional rollercoaster.
Children who first stepped into a classroom were scared, nervous and excited.
Their tears weren’t held back when it was time for parents to leave them in the capable hands of their new teachers.
Jayden Muller who was excited to meet new friends couldn’t wait to start his school career while reality kicked in for other pupils.
“Kade (Ross) was quite excited last night, he asked a lot of questions and he said he couldn’t wait to meet his teacher,” said a parent about her son.
Ross later silently cried while holding on to his mother’s hand.
