Dube offers advice to the Class of 2014

Dube to get a career that will sustain him for life.

Jabavu based Phafogang Senior Secondary School’s 2013 matric top achieving pupil Bongani Dube achieved five distinctions for all his subjects and said his ambition is bigger than his life and offered advice to the 2014 matric pupils.

“I can’t lie, yes I’m the best and I’ve worked hard to achieve my good results for my matric, so the only thing that I can tell this year’s matric pupils is that they must read and read and not play.

“Writing matric exams is very much complicated, it needs focus, preparation and dedication, there are also challenges that we face,” he said.

Dube said: “2014 class pupils must get rid of burdens that don’t benefit them educationally and socially, be it a friend or any other challenge they may be faced with.

“I encourage them to always stick to their books because that’s where their future lies.

“Fun and parties should take a backseat to their education.

“A good education will open doors for them once they are done with their matric class.”

Dube is still to weigh in options as to which course to follow and pursue at university.

“I have achieved great results for my matric and now I have to get a career that will sustain me forever and pay me well, I don’t want a quick course that I will do and later regret because it has no employment opportunities,” he said.
