Instilling hard work at any age

Children encouraged to work hard from an early age.

The principal of Sivelile Primary School, Ntombi Mohlabai, says it is important for a culture of working hard to be instilled while children are still young.

Last Thursday, at the Zone Six school, a prizegiving ceremony was held for all the grades at the school.

Prizegivings acknowledge the performance and participation of pupils during the year.

“Parents need to encourage their children to be the best so that they accept hard work at a young age.

“Receiving a certificate or trophy gives pupils the confidence to continue working hard,” she said.

Mohlabai said parents need to start being more involved in their children’s school work.
