Petrol price increase

Motorists will pay more for petrol this festive season.

On December 4, the retail price of all grades of petrol in the country increased by 17 cents per litre and diesel increased by 10.12 cents a litre.

The Energy Minister Ben Martins has approved the implementation of the Regulatory Accounts System margins on petrol and adjustments to margins applicable in the wholesale list price structures of diesel and IP.

The wholesale price of illuminating paraffin increased by 16.50 cents a litre.
The single maximum national retail price has increased by 22 cents a litre for illuminating paraffin.

The maximum retail price for LP Gas increased by 18 cents a kilogram.

The petrol price went up a day after Gauteng motorists woke up to e-tolls.
