Go Green and Clean scoops third place

Rashid Khan came third place for his efforts in rehabilitating the environment.

Go Green and Clean received an award for best rehabilitated environment project and took third place in Gauteng. Rashid Khan has been actively involved in cleaning up an illegal dumpsite in Extension Eight and has since included residents to maintain the area.

The whole event came as a complete surprise to Khan and Natasha Etty, they did not expect to win anything or be placed third.

As third place winners Go Green and Clean is automatically entered into the national competition which will be taking place in Kwazulu- Natal in 2014.

“Go green and clean is working hard on their new projects so that they may blow the socks off of the entities and hosts at the upcoming event in 2014,” Etty said.

They are working on implementing a food and herb garden at the now green and clean area. Go Green and Clean is in line to win cash prizes at the national competition.
