This is the time to support our children – councillor

Parents urged to support their children during exam time.

Chiawelo Ward 12 councillor Joe Nemaungani has thrown his support behind the 2013 matriculants as they were writing their final exams last Monday and he also urges other parents to do the same.

“We know that the coming weeks are the most stressful and confusing ones for our children who were writing their final examinations this year.

“They all wrote well and were prepared to make sure that they pass at the end and were eager to see their names on the newspapers, but it’s unfortunate to those who didn’t make it due to unforeseen circumstances.”

Nemaungani said: “To those pupils, I would like to encourage them to go repeat the subjects that they have failed and make sure that they study hard and pass them so they can prepare themselves for a better future ahead.”

Nemaungani said that this is the time for all people to be happy and not street out about any issue affecting them.

“Festive season is the time to be happy, joyful and united as residents and support each other at all times.

“So all pupils must be happy and expect anything possible when the newspaper hit the streets with the announcements of the pupils who have passed their matric exams.”
