Opening for the comfort of residents

Opening of Nandos cheers the community up amid the challenges faced by residents.

Nandos had their re-opening on Saturday where meal vouchers were given, DJs entertained and a car show wowed crowds.

The opening was interactive and allowed for the community to feel at home said Rashied Muller.

“Nandos has been in Eldos for 14 years and Shaheeds Fast Foods for 22 years.

“Eldos is our home, if something touches our hearts, we will do whatever we can,” Muller said.

The Muller family bases their lives on humanitarian ground. The fast food shop has been giving cash prizes to the top pupils of Eldorado Park since its existence.

“A pupil who received the prize last year is now studying at the University of Johannesburg,” Muller said.

He gives pupils the opportunity because, while growing up, Muller couldn’t live his dream. He dropped out of school to look after his family by selling newspapers.

“I couldn’t achieve my dream of being a medical practitioner but I want youngsters to be able to achieve their dreams,” Muller said.

The opening of Nandos was done to cheer the community up amid the challenges faced by residents.

The revamped store has a new design where the Nandos promise was hand painted.
