Community meeting: councillors no show

Councillors a no show at a recent community meeting.

Pimville residents held a community meeting at the open field next to Musi Comprehensive High to discuss their issues concerning prepaid water last Tuesday.

Mcedisi Dilata the organiser of the meeting said the aim of the meeting was to discuss and plan for the march they were planning to march to the councillors offices to hand over a memorandum with their issues.

He said they invited both Wards 22 and 25 councillors to the meeting but they didn’t come attend the meeting.

“We sent invites to the councillors and they both didn’t come,” Dilata said.

Ward 25 councillor, Vusi Shongwe said he was not aware of the meeting that’s why he didn’t attend.

He said he refuses to speak to individuals that didn’t attend consultations meetings when the prepaid issue was discussed.
