Talent show auditions

LingCreepYork Artwear (LCYA) will have auditions for a talent show on November 9.

The audition is open to all age groups and talent. Lyndel Davis, owner of (LCYA) said that there isn’t a platform for resident to showcase their talent and it was Curtis Steyn, project manager who initiated the talent show.

The pair has a clothing brand that is street urban and caters for age groups 18 and over.

Their brand is a year old but has ‘potential to pull a big market’ with their style of designer t-shirts and designs, Steyn said. Judges at the auditions are drummer Daniel Van Niekerk, a singer Liezel Davis, Joe Smith and Nikyle Naicker.

Auditions are free and registration is required.

It will be held at the JD Opperman Centre in Extension two where the top 10 will be selected to perform at the talent show on December 16.
