Goodluck to all matriculants – minister

“As we approach the 2013 National Senior Certificate exams, I would like to wish the class of 2013 all the best for these important exams of their high school education."

Last Thursday, education minister, Angie Motshekga, hosted a motivation seminar wishing the class of 2013 luck with their final examination which started on Monday.

“As we approach the 2013 National Senior Certificate exams, I would like to wish the class of 2013 all the best for these important exams of their high school education..

“These exams are the culmination of years of schooling and are crucial in ensuring that you, as matriculants, are able to establish a platform from which to launch yourself into your desired future and remember, your future is in your hands.

“Only you can make the choices that will determine your future,” said Motshekga.

Motshega urged the pupils to make libraries their only friends and make sure that they receive any kind of assistance they can get.

“We have more than 100 libraries in the City, pupils must make sure that for the coming weeks, their only friend is the library and their school books or even their study group friends.

“Parties, bashes and parks will follow after examinations and you will celebrate non stop.”

Motshega urges pupils to familiarise themselves with the department of education’s website.

“Visit the Department of Basic Education’s website, www.education.gov.za, to access past papers and other study resources to assist in your preparations.

“Share your knowledge by starting a study group with fellow pupils from your school or your area and lastly I wish you every success.

” I trust that you will begin to work hard and make every South African proud by achieving success.”
