Colourful Events and the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) will be celebrating breast cancer month on October 26.
The event organiser Emily Mondlane said that they are inviting the community to join them in celebrating the men and women who have lost their lives to cancer.
“We will be acknowledging and celebrating the survivors.
“There will be good music and delicious food, the event is not to be missed,” she said.
Mondlane said that they have invited a poet and survivors of cancer.
“We have the most courageous cancer survivors who will speak about their experiences with cancer. We will have a question and answer session where the audience can ask the speakers questions,” she said.
Some of the speakers will be Wendy Fipaza and BreatSens an NGO started by breast cancer survivors.
The event will be at the Diepkloof Multipurpose Hall at 1pm.
