SPAR Proteas players host a netball clinic
The purpose of the netball clinic was to impart knowledge as well as building the basic skills that a netball player should possess.

In commemoration of youth month, the netball Stand Tall campaign together with Tshina Mdau held a netball clinic at the Klipspruit Sports Centre.

The purpose of the netball clinic was to impart knowledge as well as building the basic skills that a netball player should possess.

This is an opportunity to provide children from Soweto a hint of what it feels like to be a netball professional player.
“We are here to impart knowledge that we have as professional players and giving them an opportunity to become as good as we are on the field,” said Nontshikelelo Mazibuko, Gauteng Jaguars Shooter.
“We are shining the spotlight on everyone who dreams of playing netball professionally.”

The Stand Tall campaign is rallying the young people of South Africa that with all their challenges.
They are able to get up and focus on earning their place to get to a successful spot.

According to Mdau SPAR giving up should be the last thing that young people resort to because everyone comes from humble beginnings and always focus on what is important on their lives.

“I was born and bred in Soweto and for me to get out I literally had to focus on what was important. To also have the discipline to remind myself that my lack of resources will not stop me,” Mdau explained

Through shining a spotlight on South Africa’s netball heroes, Stand Tall aims to illustrate to the youth that they can be their own heroes by turning their individuality and differences into strengths.
“I kept looking at the things I can control and that has made me progress in life and to actually stand tall, because I have chosen myself,” she continued.
These netball clinics help children who have the potential but do not have access to a proper coach and proper facilities.
