The 2016 Joburg pride saw hundreds of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, Asexual and Queer (LGBTIAQ) community and friends gather at the Melrose Arch to celebrate their identity.
#NoFilter was the theme of the parade.
One of the organisers of the Joburg Pride Kay Alley said that: “The theme was selected in order to encourage people to celebrate who they are without any judgement.”
The colour orange was the focal colour of the parade because it symbolises healing following the Orlando Bloodbath and Dharka Massacre.
The parade was jam-packed with entertainment and fashion that captured the attention of the eye.
