Diepkloof community saddened by the death of Dr Koboka

Koboka was killed in cold blood on Friday afternoon at his practice in Diepkloof Zone 5.

A well-known doctor in Diepkloof, Dr George Koboka has been shot and killed at his practice in Diepkloof zone 5.

It is alleged that unknown suspects entered Dr Koboka’s practice on Friday, March 25 afternoon and shot him.

The motive behind this is not known yet, however, according to a reliable source, this follows a robbery at his practice a week ago and it is suspected that it is the same people.

The community of Diepkloof is saddened by his death.

Everyone who knows Dr Koboka’s practice knew that it was just like a public health care centre, if you don’t go there early, you will find a long queue. His clients say this was due to his affordable prices, passion for healing and compassion.

One of his regular clients said that he would call to do a follow up on how she is doing and how the medication is treating her.

Another client said that she once visited his practice when her son was sick but did not have money then, Koboka treated the son and told them they could pay later.

He also served fresh fruits to his patients every day and these are just a few of many good things being said about him.

The community has also organised a candle lighting ceremony in his honour which is set to take place on Wednesday, March 30 at the Diepkloof Extreme Park, not far from his surgery.
