Two needy post matric pupils to receive bursaries

Companies come together to offer the needy a chance at education.

Vukile Property Fund and JHI Properties plan on taking two matriculants Daniel Mothudi and Malinda Sebobi to varsity following their great matric performance at Forte High School.

The two got four distinctions each in their matric results.

According to Dobsonville centre manager, Justin Mabalane the companies jointly plan to give each child a bursary worth R50 000.

This means that R100 000 will be spent on their education.

Last week, Mabalane met with the beneficiaries and their guardians to discuss bursary terms and to finalize what is needed for the two children.

Both were registered at Wits University and have submitted quotations of all required varsity items from tuition, books and others costs.

He said the needy children were identified by Forte principal Leonard Mudavhi.

“There were other needy children but these were said to be the most deserving judging from their background situations as according to the principal.

He said the intention is to first take the two to school to see how they progress.

“We want to support them till the end of their courses, and obviously this will be determined by their performance,” said Mabalane.

Mabalane thanked JHI’s portfolio director, Anton Prinsloo and Vukile Property Fund’s asset manager, Itumeleng Mothibeli for wanting to assist the community.
