Dance Your Style SA top 16 announced

Local dancers to burn the floor at SA’s biggest dance competition, the Red Bull Dance Your Style.

The stage is set for the national finals of the Red Bull Dance Your Style competition which will take place on October 23 in Cape Town. This follows a nationwide search for Mzansi’s best street dancers the country has ever seen.

Through the search, the public had to also participate by voting for their favourite dancers which led to the elimination and the announcement of the top 16.

South African dance styles such as pantsula, sbujwa, amapiano and many more will be the order of the day as the top 16 burn the dance floor for the title of Red Bull Dance Your Style champion.

The winner will go on to represent South Africa at the Red Bull Dance Your Style World Finale which is scheduled for December in Johannesburg.

Representing Soweto is Teboho “Tebza” Diphehlo who won the competition in 2018 and the first Sowetan to have his own limited edition Red Bull can. 2019 Red Bull Dance Your Style South Africa winner Lee Shane and vouge dancer and choreographer Shanny J will also be joining the finals in Cape Town.

“Being back on stage at Red Bull Dance Your Style and having the chance to represent South Africa again is a huge milestone for me. I cannot wait to show my home audience what I have up my sleeves for this year’s national final,” says Lee Shane who won the competition and represented Mzansi in 2019.

The online voted winners are Xena Mcnabb, Phetty, Thatso, Sne, Leecore Black, Terry Sauls, Didi_ Fada, and King Swagg.
