17-year-old arrested for business burglary in Eldorado Park

Equipment valued at approximately forty thousand rand was taken from the Dulux Centre LFS.

On Wednesday, July 14 at approximately 7.30 pm, members of the Eldorado Park SAPS attended to a complaint of business burglary at Dulux Centre LFS at Corner Alberg and Milnerton Street in Extension 4, Eldorado Park.

According to Constable Roxanne Gibb, there have been rumours indicating that it was a looting incident, however, this is incorrect, as it was an incident of a business burglary.

The members of Eldorado Park SAPS thereafter proceeded to arrest a seventeen (17) year old minor boy in connection with the crime committed, whereby the gate was damaged. Vape batteries, Vape juice, cleaning detergents, vehicle spares, and car wash equipment valued at approximately forty thousand rands (R40 000.00) were taken.

“Further investigation in regards to the business burglary is currently being conducted, to trace and link the outstanding suspects involved in the business burglary. The alleged suspect will appear in the respective court,” said Gibb.

The communications officer added that the complainant complemented the integrated swift response by the Eldorado Park SAPS, Community Policing Forum, including the selfless community members and patrollers for their dedication in the prevention of any looting incidents within the Eldorado Park precinct.

“The continuous support received from the community member and the various stakeholders in regards to the protection of various businesses is highly commended by the Eldorado Park SAPS,” concluded Gibb.
