Jozi’s revamped wheel

Gold Reef City's big wheel is back after nine months in its country of origin, Holland, for routine maintenance.

Bringing you better and more thrilling experiences, Gold Reef City has re-launched its Big Wheel at the Theme Park.

The Big Wheel has taken a nine month hiatus when it returned to its country of origin, Holland, for routine maintenance.

“Decommissioning the ride was a monumental task and took months of planning and coordination.

“We are thrilled to have this iconic piece of Jozi skyline returned to us and are sure that our visitors and the rest of Jozi are just as pleased to see it back in action,” says Andre Hudson from Gold Reef City.

Gold Reef City ascribes to the highest level of international standards when it comes to the safety and maintenance of its equipment.

The rides are therefore sometimes closed for routine repairs from time to time and advise all visitors to check on the Gold Reef City website for regular updates as to which rides are closed.
