Still-born baby disposed in a plastic in Dobsonville

Pikitup waste collectors were surprised with a still-born baby as they were doing their weekly round of rubbish collecting in Dobsonville Ext 3.

Pikitup waste collectors were surprised with a still-born baby as they were doing their weekly round of rubbish collecting in Dobsonville Ext 3. A plastic was handed to them by the supposed suspect to dispose.

The man who was handed the plastic bag threw it aiming for the truck but it had moved and the bag fell on the side and tore revealing the baby. An eyewitness who is a resident and neighbour of the suspect said he called the cops when the contents of the plastic were revealed.

“I was driving out of my home when I decided to wait for the waste collectors and the truck to finish off so I can go when my neighbour handed one of the men a plastic bag which the baby was found in. The man threw the plastic but the truck moved, so it fell on the ground. When he went to go pick it up again to throw it in the truck, the plastic tore and the fetus fell on the side of the truck, I then called the cops,” the eyewitness said.

They waited for a while until the Dobsonville police arrived at the scene. Upon arrival, statements were taken and the suspect came out and was put into the van and taken to the police station.

The waste collectors are still at the scene waiting for the police to come back from the station.

No official comment has been given from the Dobsonville police station.
