Eldorado Park SAPS is appealing to anyone to report information relating to the theft that occurred at Nancefield Primary School.

Eldorado Park SAPS is appealing to anyone to report information relating to the theft that occurred at Nancefield Primary School on Sunday 21 February 2021 between the hours of 07h00 and 18h00.

It is alleged by the complainant that he had left the school premises and all was in order. Later, on the same day, he reported for duty and noticed that forced entry had been gained into the school premises.

Upon further observations, he realised that electrical equipment inclusive of circuit boxes, distribution boxes, and cables estimated to be valued at approximately one hundred and fifty thousand rands (150 000.00) had been stolen.

The suspect/s gained entry by cutting the fence. The suspect/s are still currently unknown at this stage, and Eldorado Park SAPS, therefore, is calling on anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect/s or whereabouts of the stolen property to come forth with the information.

We are calling upon the community to expose these culprits, as it may not directly impact you currently, however it eventually could if we do not stop these culprits. School vandalism should be stopped with immediate effect and what is saddening is that people committing these vile acts are residents within the very same community. We have also established that community members who witness these acts are turning a blind eye and are not willing to expose them.

Eldorado Park SAPS has implemented visit registers, patrollers, and increased visits at these schools, however, we cannot do this alone. We, therefore, call on every parent, community leader, principal, educator, learner, and resident to contribute to taking back Eldorado Park.

A child’s educational future is at stake because of residents who blatantly refuse to report or identify this suspect/s.

Community members are reminded that they should report any act or vandalism whether it be at schools, parks, swimming pools or stadiums to Eldorado Park SAPS on 011 9460300 or they may do so anonymously by contacting our SAPS Crime Stop Hotline on 08600 10111.

We cannot afford to feel uncomfortable within our very own community, hence, what pledge do you make in your approach towards making the Greater Eldorado Park safer? Let us unite in making criminals uncomfortable to commit a crime within the community.
