This past Sunday, Grace Bible Church in Soweto held a tribute for former President Nelson Mandela.

The service started at 9am and had the Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe and the Mayor of Johnnesburg Parks Tau with their wives right by their sides.

“We lost one of the greatest souls on December 5,” said Motlanthe.
The Deputy President had spoken about how valued Nelson Mandela was and the work he has done.

“You can’t define a human being from just one element, human beings are very complex and we shouldn’t be quick to define each on race, creed and gender,” said Motlanthe.
The church was filled with mourners and people wanting to show their last respect for the late Nelson Mandela.

“Madiba will not be walking alone because right behind him is another South African hero Jacob ‘Baby Jake’ Matlala,” said Motlanthe.
A prayer session was included in the service where Bishop Mosa Sono headed the prayer session with the Deputy President, the Mayor of Johannesburg and the station commander of Pimville police.

“Madiba left us with the mission of a unified South Africa, now we have to complete what he has started,” said Motlanthe.
