Organised by #SaveALife, an Eldorado Park-based Non-Profit Organisation, the event was aimed at raising awareness and raising funds for Hattingh's medical journey.

A colour run in aid of Eliana Hattingh, a 3-year-old suffering from Encopresis Bowel (EP) was held at the Eldorado Park Stadium on Saturday, September 7.

According to Stamford Children’s Health; “In most cases, encopresis happens because a child has long-term (chronic) constipation. When a child is constipated, he or she has fewer bowel movements than normal… Then stool becomes backed up (impacted) in the rectum and the large intestine (colon).

Hattingh is the second child that the organisation has adopted after their first case that of Jade Anderson.
