There was no shooting last night in Westbury
officer Captain Jerbes de Bruyn confirmd.
Last night residents from Westbury posted on social media about shooting again in the community and feared for their loved ones in the area.
This morning we contacted communications officer Captain Jerbes de Bruyn from the Sophiatown police and he said:
“There was no shooting yesterday, there was a call out but it appeared to be false”.
Police continue to do their regular patrols in the community to ensure a safer place for the residents.
