Two JMPD officers shot at in Riverlea along the Nasrec Road

No arrests were made and no one was injured.

On May 15 at about 11 am two officers from Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) were shot at in Riverlea after conducting roadside check along Nasrec Road.

Constable Phumi Kraai who is the communications officers from the Langlaagte police station said: “The officers noticed a maroon Toyota Etios making a U-Turn looking suspicious and chased the vehicle with three suspects who then abandoned the vehicle and ran into the bush.



One of the suspects fired three shots towards the officers. It was later discovered that the vehicle was stolen from Edenvale.”

According to Kraai, no arrests were made and no one was injured.
