Job creation should be our main focus

Change is in our midst.

South African Services and Construction was established in 2017. It was officially registered on December 22, 2017. Waiden Strachan is the founder of the company and would like to tell the community how he can make a difference in the community.

The unemployment rate in the community is on such a high and is nothing new under the sun. There are thousands of people who are unemployed in the Greater Eldorado Park community and according to Stats SA, 10 percent of the population of South Africa will never find jobs.

Now, what does that mean? To the working class, it probably means nothing but to that unlucky few they may never be able to provide for their families, ever.

Strachan is an Eldos child that would like to try and change that in his community. He said that he started his own company in an attempt to create skills development, job opportunities, fight against poverty and last but not least, he would like to reduce the unemployment rate within the community.

He said, “The Company that we started is based on the principle that charity begins at home.” If he keeps that up, who knows what differences he can bring?

They provide all sorts of services such as domestic work, washing, and ironing of clothes, home refurbishing, plumbing, building, welding, painting and even upholstery.

These services need people to do them and what better way than to use the very people in the community to do work in the community.

Strachan asked the question, “How is the community going to benefit from this?” In response to this, he said, “Job creation will be the main focus.”

He claims that the crime rate will drop because jobs will be offered to the people in the community who are currently unemployed.

These guys want to change their community.

He said, “All unknown artisans and unrecognized domestic workers will get the recognition and credit that they need. They will be able to work in their fields with benefits such as UIF and at a later stage, pension and provident fund.”
